1. Introduction

Intelligence Lobster LLC ("we", "us", or "the Company") operates the MyLobster platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We do not store passwords in plain text.

Conversation Data: Messages you send to and receive from the AI assistant are stored to maintain conversation history and provide the Service.

Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, including login times, features used, and device information.

Connected Services: If you connect third-party services (Gmail, Calendar, Slack, etc.), we store OAuth tokens necessary to maintain those connections. We do not store the content of your third-party accounts beyond what is needed to fulfill your requests.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Process your conversations with the AI assistant
  • Provision and manage dedicated infrastructure for paid-tier users
  • Communicate with you about service updates or issues
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the Service

4. Data Storage and Isolation

Free Tier (Shared Instance): Your conversations are stored in a shared database. While all data is logically isolated by your user account and access is controlled by JWT authentication, the infrastructure is shared with other free-tier users.

Paid Tier (Dedicated Instance): Your conversations are stored on a dedicated server provisioned exclusively for you. Your data is physically isolated from all other users. No other user has access to your instance or data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share data with third-party services as necessary to provide the Service.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

The Service uses browser local storage to maintain your authentication session (JWT token) and application preferences such as theme settings. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and conversation data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days.

For paid-tier users, dedicated infrastructure is deprovisioned upon account termination, and all data stored on that infrastructure is permanently destroyed.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your conversation data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@mylobster.ai.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact
